I just completed a grueling 7-day program – 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.  Classes, training, break-out sessions, discussion groups.  It was inspiring and exhausting at the same time.

Now that I’ve had some time to integrate, absorb and process all that I learned, there are several key points that can sum up my experience.

The one I’d like to share today is that if I do nothing, change nothing, and accept everything as it is, then I’m doomed!  Complacency will kill me, kill any idea, dream or aspiration I might have.  It is my enemy and must be defeated.

I can now see several areas in my life where I have become complacent or comfortable or willing to settle for what it is.  And, I now see how insidious it can be as it tempts me to do less and less. What’s so bad about status quo?  Yikes, how many times have had that thought or similar thoughts?

It’s time for me to step out of complacency and into action.  If I want things to be different, then I have to be different.  If I want different results, then I have to change my actions.

No more will I l allow my mind to rest on disappointment or frustration.  No longer is will past failures prevent me from trying again.  The effort is worth it.  The result will reward my effort.  The win will be mine!

Education, once received, can never be returned.  I’ve been educated and I’m putting it to good use!

How about you?
