One of the foundational blocks of my business plan is having multiple streams of income. Sounds impressive, doesn’t it when all it really means is that I earn money several ways. I have on-line products, one-on-one coaching, business consulting and professional speaking. Some of these streams require more of my attention than others. Another concept that has attracted quite a bit of attention is ‘portfolio careers’ – again impressive, when it means engaging in more than one capacity to earn a living – such as being a part-time employee, a business owner, and perhaps a consultant.
When considering what composition is best for you to meet your financial obligations AND achieve your happiness factor, be open to possibilities. If you already have a business, consider charging for what you have previously given away, or perhaps there is a complimentary business that services your current clientele.
Market research is one of the essentials in business success….I suggest you also consider engaging in some ‘self’ research to discover the ideal for you.
