Does the idea of creating resolutions or goals for the new year make you feel queasy?

Are you tempted to throw up your hands in despair and wonder if you really want to waste the time creating goals you’ll never achieve?

Does it feel like you’re starting another year of disappointing results?

I get it – I’ve been there and it just plain sucks!

For many She-EO’s, this has been a tough year. Yes, there may have been some stellar moments, pleasant surprises, and occasional wins, but overall, 2018 was overshadowed with struggle, setbacks and stress being their constant companions. Can you relate?

How would you like to have  …

a clean slate so you can start fresh in 2019?

a major energy boost to propel you into action?

or how about reconnecting with the dream you had for your business and taking action to make it your reality?

Here’s what I know.  You have all the answers you need to succeed.  You have the ability to make decisions with confidence and get the results you want in your business so you can enjoy living your life.

Are you skeptical?  That’s okay, I get it because I’ve been there.

What I believe today is that by shifting your mindset, accessing your super-knowing self, you can and will transform your business from the inside out!

Some of the most impactful lessons I’ve learned are from reflecting on the past.  By taking the time to stop, reflect and integrate the knowledge from past missteps, I’m able to create a new mindset for the future… new beliefs, behaviors and actions that will give me the results I dream of experiencing.

You may not realize that you’ve learned a great deal in the last 12 months, and yet, you have!  You just need to find it and integrate it into your plan for 2019.

Before you start setting goals for 2019 or bypass the goal-setting and just jump right into the year, take a time out and reflect on the wisdom and knowledge that may be right in front of you or hiding in an outdated story of not being worthy, or smart enough, or fill-in-the-blank enough. When you can let go of that emotional baggage that’s dragging you down, you will have the energy and freedom to breath life into your dreams.

So, ask yourself what have you learned in the past year? To get the most out of this activity, write down your thoughts, answers and ideas as they come to mind.  Turn off your judgment and your inner harsh-critic thinking.  In other words, turn off your mind and tune into your inner knowing. Listen with all of your senses. Be open to receiving the wisdom from your all-knowing self!

Here are some questions to get you started:

What did you love about 2018?

What did you loathe about 2018?

What did you do easily and effortlessly in your business?

How much of your day/week did you spend in that easy zone?

What needs to happen so you can spend more time doing what you love to do easily and effortlessly in 2019?

What tasks or functions, did you “force” yourself to do?

How much of your day/week did you spend in that “forced” mindset?

What did it cost you energetically? emotionally? financially?

What needs to happen so you can spend less time doing what you loathe doing in 2019?

What’s the most valuable lesson you learned in 2018?

What needs to occur for you to integrate the full value of that lesson in 2019?

What was your biggest success in 2018?

What needs to occur for you to 10x’s that success in 2019?

And don’t stop with these questions!  Keep asking!  By taking the time to answer these questions with H.O.W. (honesty, openness and willingness), you’ll not only get immediate clarity on what to focus on in 2019, you’ll also discover how much you’ve learned.

The time you invest in the reflection and introspection will be invaluable.

Yes, you can set yourself up for success in 2019.

I’d love for you to share your discoveries below in as much detail as you choose. Your sister She-EO’s come here each week for inspiration.  Your comments can help others open up to a new perspective and new beliefs that will shift their mindset.
