Over the past few weeks, I’ve invited you to look at your business a little differently.

To notice the clues it’s already giving you.
To pay attention when those clues repeat.
To resist immediately fixing everything you notice.

And to become aware of how much outside advice may be influencing the way you see your own business.

All of that leads to the question I’ve really been interested in:
What changes when you finally see the pattern?

Often, the first thing that changes isn’t the business.

It’s the problem you thought you had.

What if the problem isn’t the problem?

Imagine you’ve been telling yourself:
I have a marketing problem.

Creating content feels difficult. You keep postponing promotion. Staying visible requires more effort than it used to.

Naturally, you start searching for a better marketing strategy.

But then you step back and look at the clues together.

The offer you’re struggling to market is also the offer that drains the most energy.

The topics you do want to talk about point toward another area of your expertise.

And the clients you’re most excited to work with are asking you for something slightly different.

Suddenly…

you may not have a marketing problem at all.

You may have an alignment problem that’s showing up in your marketing.

And once you see that, the question changes.

That’s why patterns matter.

Understanding changes the questions

Low energy?
We might assume we need more rest.

Poor focus?
Better priorities.

Visibility problems?
A stronger content plan.

Too many ideas?
Pick one.

But when we see those clues together, we may discover they’re not separate issues at all.

They’re expressions of the same underlying pattern.

And once we understand the pattern, we can stop treating every symptom as an isolated problem.

That doesn’t mean the pattern tells us exactly what to do.

I don’t believe there’s one correct business model for experienced entrepreneurs.

And I certainly don’t believe you should rebuild a successful business simply because something doesn’t feel quite right.

What I do believe is this:
You make better decisions when you understand what you’re actually looking at.

Sometimes you’ll realize something needs to change.
Sometimes it needs a small adjustment.
Sometimes you’ll discover the thing you’ve been trying to fix isn’t the real issue.

And sometimes you’ll recognize something that’s working beautifully and deserves more of your attention.

Understanding doesn’t give you instructions.

It gives you perspective.

This is why I created the Business Alignment Profile™

For some time, I’ve been studying the patterns that repeatedly appear in established businesses—particularly businesses owned by experienced women who have already created something successful but know they’re ready for a different relationship with what they’ve built.

I kept seeing clues around four areas:
Energy. Visibility. Alignment. Focus.

Those observations eventually became something new:
The Business Alignment Profile™.

It isn’t designed to put you into a box.

And it isn’t going to give you a list of everything you’re doing wrong.

It’s designed to help you step back from the business you’re standing inside every day and see patterns you may simply be too close to recognize.

The Profile will reveal your Primary Alignment Pattern™ and provide insight into where your business may be asking for your attention.

Not so you can start over.

So you can make more intentional decisions about what comes next.

Coming in October

I’ll be introducing the Business Alignment Profile™ in October.

This is my gift to you because you deserve to have your business work for you!

Over the coming weeks, I’ll share more about how it works, the patterns it reveals and why I believe understanding your pattern can change the way you see your business.

But for now, I’ll leave you with the idea that started all of this:
Your business has been leaving clues.

Perhaps for quite some time.

And once you begin understanding what those clues are telling you, you can ask better questions.

Better questions create greater clarity.

And greater clarity allows you to make more intentional choices about what comes next.

You don’t need someone else to tell you the answer.
You need to be able to see your business clearly enough to recognize it.

Patterns Always Leave Clues™.
Understanding the clues changes everything.
