Over IndulgeIt seems to start with Halloween, then it’s Thanksgiving and all the wonderfulness that accompanies that special day only soon to be followed by Hanukkah and Christmas, then finally coming to a close with New Year’s.  Phew, makes me exhausted just thinking about the parade of activities, parties, events and dare I say indulgence?

With all the celebrating, socializing and schmoozing, there’s the food.  Tasty temptations that can cause even the strong-willed to run screaming from the room.

Going way outside of the box, I’m inviting you to give yourself permission to indulge this holiday season – in fact, over-indulge.  Here are some delectable delights that are guilt-free, zero calories and the ultimate in decadence!

  1. Indulge in the awareness of the multitude of gifts that make you uniquely you!   You are one-of-a-kind, a beautiful package wrapped in experiences, education, opportunities and choices. Indulge in acknowledging each and every gift you have and share your gifts with the world.  When you give openly, you are open to receiving.
  2.  Indulge in accepting that you possess everything you need to be happy and live an abundant life.  You are complete and imperfect  – accept it and release the stress of trying to be someone you’re not.
  3. Indulge in appreciation of experiencing life and living your adventure as you choose.  It is your life, not someone else’s’ – and you have the freedom of choice to make the day what you want it to be.  The choices you make today determine your tomorrow.

Take it from someone who has over-indulged on guilt, shoulds, insecurities, and fear.  Letting go of those unhealthy, demeaning, limited thinking has been the best weight-loss plan I’ve tried!
