In the 1980’s-90’s, I had a personalized license plate – XRCIZN.  My response to inquiries about the meaning of the license plate was this: My goal is to exercise my body, mind and soul on a daily basis.

Somewhere along the way, the license plate lost its appeal, as did exercising my body.  What that was all about is another story.  What is relevant now is that I’m back into physical exercise.  Being an over-achiever, I don’t do things in a small way and this undertaking required planning.

I created my own personal Boot Camp – attending two classes daily for the first week.  Why so much?  1) to jump start my metabolism and shock my muscles! 2) to find several types of classes and instructors in my area that provided a solid workout that I could sustain.  3) design a daily routine with variety, flexibility and fun.

The classes range from Aqua aerobics to Zumba.  I’m pleased to report I survived the first week with the only one complaint – sore feet!  Between the A and Z were hot hula, yoga, step classes and stretch.  I had no idea my feet were so out of shape!  Who knew?

Persistence and perseverance is the key.  Each day my feet are getting one step closer to being in shape – and the rest of me is, well, let’s just say, bringing up the rear!

Can you think of  just three exercises that you can incorporate into your weekly routine that can stretch your muscles? These exercises don’t have to be long or hard to do. Being consistent is what will help you make the changes to accomplish goals.
