With our to-do lists getting longer, our choices and options expanding at a frightening rate and time becoming less and less of a friend each day, it’s time for a timeout.  I invite you to stop, take a deep breath and invest a few minutes in feeling good about who you are and what your future holds for you.  Is your future worth a few minutes of contemplation?  Absolutely!!

Here are 3 steps that you can start taking today, right now!!

Woman thinkingStep 1.  Acknowledge your intuition.

Acknowledging and appreciating your intuition is one of your most powerful resources you have.  Intuition is the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference.  Your intuition is essentially your compass that guides you, gives you the ability to instinctively ‘know’ what to do, what action to take.  Your intuition wants you to succeed – it is your biggest cheerleader!  Tap into your intuition and you are tapping into a powerhouse of energy, knowledge and confidence.

Suggestion: Invite your intuition to answer a question.  Sound silly?  Just try it, you’ll be surprised.  Give it time and you will have an answer.

Step 2.  Know what success means to you.

This could be a pivotal question for you – what is your definition of success?  All too often, we borrow the definition of others, or accept the imposed definition of others as our definition.  This is a real disservice to you and to your life.  After all, it is your life!

Suggestion: Consider what success means to you personally, professionally, physically, spiritually.  What will it look like? How will it feel?

Step 3.   Have a life plan.

If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.  Create a life plan that affords you’re the direction and path to take to live the life you want to live.  To see, do and experience what you want during your life, first you need to know what that is and secondly it takes planning to successful achieve your stated desires.

Suggestion: use a business plan template – it has all the essential components.
